From Aberdeen to Manchester for a home birth with Private Midwives

We were looking for options for birthing when we found Private Midwives. Personally, I needed a familiar and trusted face throughout my pregnancy, labour, and delivery for a planned home birth, of which I wasn’t going to get in Scotland. I felt so at ease and confident about having Cristina be my midwife just from video calls that my family decided to drive across the UK just to have her! Cristina was lovely and knowledgeable, and connected well with my 4 year old daughter, which was also important to me. I felt that we all were in good hands.

As with most births, things don't always go according to plan...our wee man came with such urgency that Cristina arrived with only enough time to catch him! Though we didn't get to utilize her hypnobirthing skills during labour, we got a taste of it with our meetings prior which allowed for us to be calm enough to be prepared to have the baby ourselves should she have not been able to arrive in time. Thank goodness she did, and the after care was truly phenomenal.

It was an amazing home birth experience and we all felt fully supported by her and her team. I am so glad I had Cristina and 1000% recommend having a Private Midwife for this momentous time of your life.
