Midwife Suport, Hospital Birth & Postnatal support in St Albans, Hertfordshire

Private Midwives were contacted by Rebecca who wanted to find out more about the midwife support services we could offer.

Private midwives suggested a package that included support prior to the birth and attending the hospital birth along with four weeks postnatal care.

We asked Rebecca if she would be happy to give us some feedback of both her experience and the way Private Midwives supported her during this happy time, here is the response Rebecca gave:

How was your experience of using Private Midwives?

  • I found the service provided by private midwives to be excellent. From the moment I contacted the organisation, every person I have encountered has been polite, friendly and professional. In particular I am so grateful to Lindsay, my midwife. I was a first time mum and working until week 38. Lindsay was able to meet with me at my convenience and reassure me that everything was fine. She came to the birth and supported me when I went home. She identified that I had some health needs and ensured I was returned to hospital for treatment, where she continued to visit. It was fantastic to have a dedicated person who understood me and my needs and anxieties. I cannot recommend her highly enough, I only wish she could have been involved with my family for longer.

Meet the midwife

Birth is a very personal and intimate event. We recognise how important it is that you meet your midwife and have a “connection” so that you can develop a trusting, professional relationship going forward. We hold regular “meet the midwife” sessions where you can come along and chat to past clients, talk to the midwives and ask questions. We also offer you a free consultation to talk through things on a more personal level and discuss your individual needs and wishes. Please contact us for further information.
