HBAC to Hospital Birth - London

I could not be happier to have chosen to be cared for by Ali Monghan (part of the Private Midwives team) throughout my pregnancy and birth. This was my third pregnancy and I was aiming for a HBAC - not the simplest of prospects for any midwife, but Ali took me on with kindness, compassion, and a huge amount of professionalism. Throughout the pregnancy all her recommendations were evidence based and scientifically rigorous, and she worked with me and my doula to develop a birth plan which we both felt gave me the best chance of the birth I wanted. On top of that, our appointments were fun and relaxed - I already miss them so much!

In the end, we had to transfer to hospital and I had another cesarian after a long labour. Ali was incredible throughout the process - thanks to her support, I felt I could navigate the NHS hospital system in a way that allowed my needs and wishes to be respected, and my daughter and I had a very positive cesarian birth. I would not hesitate to recommend Ali to absolutely anyone who will listen - part of me wants a fourth baby just so we can work together again ;)
