I'm a bit late with this but newborns take up a lot of time! I had Ann as my midwife back in November and I have to say I found her absolutely fantastic, as did my husband. My husband really didn't want a homebirth but Ann put his mind at ease from day one. I really connected with her and felt so safe in her capable hands. I loved her no BS, hands off approach but also felt safe in the knowledge that if something wasn't going the way she liked, she would call it, which in my case, she did.
I could call her any time with any concerns and she would always get straight back to me. Even at the hospital calling her at all hours for advice, she was there for me. I cried the day she left and I miss her all the time. She had a massive, positive affect on my birth experience and I wouldn't give back those lovely, gentle 26 hours of labour I had at home. I hope upon hope that if I am lucky enough to get pregnant in the future, that she'll still be around to take me on again.
Ye are so lucky to have her on your team, she epitomises what your ethos is all about and I think Ireland is lucky to have her as a private midwife! Long may Ann, and your services, continue!
